Để viết được phần tổng quan trong IELTS Writing Task 1, bạn cần nhìn tổng thể để thấy được những dữ liệu chính, nổi bật trong biểu đồ. Nhìn vào 2 biểu đồ trong đề bài, mình thấy đâu là những số liệu nổi bật nhất?
Với dạng biểu đồ tròn như bài này, mình sẽ hỏi:
- Miếng bánh nào chiếm % cao nhất/thấp nhất?
- -> Ta thấy private studios cao nhất, college-based studios thấp nhất.
Với Bar Chart, ta sẽ hỏi mình:
- Cái nào cao nhất/thấp nhất?
- Cái nào có kiểu hình giống nhau?
- Cái nào khác nhất so với những cái còn lại
Nhìn vào bar chart này ta thấy:
- Ở lớp ballet + tap: học sinh nhỏ tuổi đông hơn học sinh lớn tuổi, còn ở lớp modern dance thì ngược lại.
Dựa vào quá trình bao quát dữ liệu từ biểu đồ, Huyền sẽ có phần tổng quan như sau:
Overall, private studios are the most common venues, while college-based studios attract the lowest proportion of dance classes. In addition, the younger age group outnumbers their older counterparts in two out of three classes.
Thân bài
Ở phần thân bài, Huyền sẽ viết 2 đoạn thông tin theo biểu đồ, đoạn 1 sẽ mô tả dữ liệu từ biểu đồ tròn và đoạn 2 sẽ mô tả các dữ liệu trong dạng biểu đồ cột. Dựa vào những thông tin, số liệu từ biểu đồ, Huyền sẽ lập dàn ý như sau:

Looking first at where dance classes are organised, 48% of dance classes are conducted in private studios, making them the most dominant locations, while half that percentage, 24%, are held in school halls after school hours. Community halls and other locations attract a lower percentage of dance classes, 18%, whereas college-based studios are the least preferred venues, where only 10% of classes are held.
Turning to participation by age group, around 600 children aged under 11 enroll in ballet classes, which is double the number of students aged 11 to 16, roughly 300. Younger students in tap classes also outnumber older ones, about 440 compared with nearly 420, respectively. By contrast, in modern classes, there are more students aged 11 to 16, approximately 520, than those under 11 years old, about 300.
